Thanks!

It's yellow and brown and simple to recreate....

I love that little tag....
Take the little stamp and make a wallpaper/background by systematically randomly (is that a paradox, or what??) placing it.

Nature Walk, the finale

Just a quick one today before I head out to the gym...

Stamping on DSP is a great layered look!  You'll see this again this week.
I did a little stamping and then white embossed the flower.
The background is stamped color on color.  That's where I inked French Script with Bravo Burgandy and stamped in on Bravo Burgandy cardstock.  It's subtle but AWESOME!

Sweet Deets (all supplies Stampin' Up!):
Stamps: Nature Walk
Ink: Bravo Burgandy, Versamark
DSP: Botanical Gazette
CS: Bravo Burgandy, Whisper White
Accessories: whisper white taffeta ribbon, pretties flower, antique brad, white embossing powder.

Nature Walk, numero three

There is another post coming later today.  So check back for another one...
Remember these card layouts are easy and can be reused by any stamps you have!
Scraps of Botanical Gazette.  A snipet of scallop trim border punch.  The center image is stamped (and I cheated and didn't color it or anything!).  Now here comes todays small tip that can make a big difference.  Look closely at the frame around the bird.  The Bravo Burgandy is larger at the top and the bottom.  It's purposely and can be dramatic.  Three little pearls (do you know these are self-adhesive??) in the corner finish off this simple card...

Sweet Deets (all supplies Stampin' Up!):
Stamps: Nature Walk
DSP:  Botanical Gazette
Ink: Not Quite Navy
CS: Bravo Burgandy, Very Vanilla
Accessories: scallop border punch, basic pearls

Nature Walk, Part Two

Who's ready for some sweet butterflies??  I AM!  Three of the butterflies come from the Botanical Gazette DSP and the upper right butterfly is the stamped image.  It's lightly inked.  Some messy linen thread, a torn piece of paper and we call it a day!

Sweet Deets (all supplies Stampin' Up!):
Stamps: Nature Walk
Ink: Early Espresso
DSP:  Botanical Gazette
CS: Chocolate Chip, Marina Mist, Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Linen Thread

Nature Walk, Part One

Have you checked out the new Occasions Mini? There's a little set on page 27, Nature Walk.
The set allows for "just because" cards.  The Botanical Gazette DSP coordinates perfectly with the stamp set.

Stampin' Up! products always compliment each other that way...
See that snipet of So Saffron?  I would have never selected So Saffron on my own, but look at the other colors in the DSP pack - there's So Saffron.  So although not present in my card, I was brave enough to add a tiny strip.

The bird cage was delicately cut out and popped up on Stampin' Up! dimensionals.

Sweet Deets (all supplies Stampin' Up!):
Stamps: Nature Walk
DSP:  Botanical Gazette
Ink: Night of Navy
CS: Night of Navy, So Saffron, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Night of Navy satin ribbon, linen thread, scallop trim border punch, vintage trinkets, corner rounder

How about some Love?

Hi sweets.  I hope this winter weather doesn't have you in a funk.
I have a couple lovely projects to show you today.

I must say, this first card is a SCRAP card. You know all the pieces and parts you have sitting on your desk upon completion of a project or projects?  I'm sure you don't throw them away.....
I stamped the key and cut it out.  I punched a full heart from DSP.  There's a snippet of newsprint DSP.  The backgrounds are embossed.  Some scrunchie ribbon and distressing on the edges and volia.

Here's a little something I also whipped up.  The stamp set was in the Holiday mini, but I thought you might like to see the card anyway.  (Thanks for understanding!).

Let me know if you need specific product listing.  I've been very busy today....almost the weekend!

An Elegant Thank You

Sometimes a card can just take my breath away.  Is that silly?  I first saw a similar card at a team meeting display board and I was moved to recreate it.  I used Early Espresso, Baja Blue and Very Vanilla.  It was a very easy card to make, but I think it leaves a big impact.  After I embossed the baja panel, I gently used a sponge with baja blue ink and rubbed it over the raised embossed design.  Stunning.

NEW CAMERA! (and a bunch of other stuff)

Hi.  Thanks for all the well wishes and emails saying "Where are you?"  I got caught up in a bunch of nothing and I lost sight of motivation.  Good for you, I'm back.  I'm back working out, being happy, baking, trying new recipes, stamping, thrifting and sharing.  Baby, I'm back!  I already have at least 10 things to share with you.  I didn't expect any of my holiday giftables to get so many wonderful compliments.  I'll gather you some tutorials and dimensions to recreate things I've been making.  And don't worry, they will work for year-round gifts.  Get excited!

Santa brought our house a new camera! So we've been playing....

I know enough to know I can't get this setting back!  I LOVE me some blurred backgrounds!

Apeture, exposure, shutter speed.  I have no idea!  :)

Still trying to blur the background....Since bf wouldn't be my subject, I rounded up my Build A Bear monkey!  And I haven't picked up shoes and newspaper from my floor.

Trying for a shot further away.  My after-holiday mantle isn't complete yet.  It's a work in progress.  Right?  Feel free to leave some hints on color and height options for me.  I'm stuck for now.

Anyway, January 4th kicks off the NEW Occasions Mini catalog!  Did you get your complimentary copy from me in the mail?  EMAIL me if you need one.

Thanks for hanging in there with me!
