HOPE

I have such an exciting weekend and week coming up!  But first, let me tell you about my past weekend.  I attended the RemARKable team meeting in PA, spoke a little about social media (spilled the beans about my moms age), ate a great lunch at Goofy's and then participated in Diva Day!  Diva is a great perk offered by upline Janet Wakeland.  We made this sweet little HOPE banner and I looooooovvvveeeee it.  I knew instantly where it was going on display in my dining room!

 Here's a little close up!

And if you wanted to see the entire Spring display:
I am packing and cleaning and hitting the road for another PA trip this weekend!  Catch me if you can ;)
Have a great Wednesday! I have so much to do and soooo little time.

Eye Candy

I literally only have 4 seconds to make this post.  With exception to adding a watermark, this is SOOC (Straight Out Of the Camera).  No edits.  The weather is wonderful in DC right now.  We arrived downtown about 2 hours behind schedule (holy CROWDED!), but were able to snap a few pictures.  The tidal basic was so jam packed I need to crop out the people everywhere.  If you've never been to see the Cherry Blossoms, I'd suggest adding it to your bucket list.

I have a great Friday planned, a little SPECIAL birthday shopping tonight, a team meeting tomorrow, DIVA day, and birthday party.  At some point I need to PACK for retreat and get some rest.

I hope you have a lovely Friday.

You're a Gem

Hi Sweets!  Happy Thursday.  A quick video tutorial today.  There's an adorable box that holds four cards!

I'm headed to see the Cherry Blossoms tonight, so maybe I'll be back with DC pictures tomorrow for you!
I hope you have a wonderful day.

Spring Has Sprung!

Happy Wednesday!  I'm in full SPRING mode here.  It's been so lovely and allergy-free!  Here's a wreath we made for my front door.  Before assembled, the pieces and parts were ok ---nothing spectacular.  That's a plain (cheap) grape wreath, some on-sale faux flowers.  The little gems are made from aluminum flashing from the hardware store.  You could have also used an upcycled aluminum can.  Big Shot Bigz dies cut paper, fabric, and over 50 other materials including denim, thin balsa wood, and vinyl.

Here's a quick, not-so-great pic of the entire door.   Do you think my neighbors think I'm a loon for taking pictures of the front door?  I'm probably THAT lady in the neighborhood.
The vinyl is from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  I omitted the swirly thing because I was out of flat space on my door.

Did you know including today, there's only 10 more days to earn FREE Sale-A-Bration rewards?

Have a great Wednesday!

Kindness Matters

Did you see Kindness Matters from the IB&C is one of the items available during Sale-A-Bration for FREE??

There are a couple ways to achieve the variations in color on the butterflies.  You can stamp the image and use a blender pen OR you can take daubers, filled with ink and daub the ink directly onto the stamp.  Use several daubers or sponges in several colors, HUFF on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp on whisper white card stock.  I prefer the dauber method!

I love the Thanks font!  It's popped up on dimensionals for fun!

Have a creative day!

I heard from many of you that you loved the scrapbook page last week.  So here's another...
Those little flowers in the upper left are cut out from the Designer Series Paper and popped up on stampin dimensionals.  How clever!  The Four Frames stamp set perfectly coordinates with the Decorative Label Punch.

Have a great day!!

Get Your Read On!

Happy Tuesday.  How's the change-your-clock thing working for you?  I'm extremely tired and it's compounded by the fact that it's nice in the evening and I want to stay up.

Here's a quick project for Mother's Day.  These flowers are sponged, layered with dimensionals. Each one is different and unique.  I'm using scrap ribbon, cut to 12" lengths.  The trick is bending the cardstock with your bone folder to make the petals lift.

A journal book

Happy Sunday!  I hope you're having a wonderful weekend.  At the Columbus Regional Stampin' Up! event, we were given journal books!  At 5"x5", these little babies are the perfect size.  You can toss one if you bag to jot down thoughts, take notes at a meeting, write your to-do or shopping lists or keep creative/inspiration ideas.

The cover uses the Elements of Style stamp set (such an elegant & fun set!).  The color spritzer tool uses your markers to create the airbrushed-looking splotches and dots.

Sweet Deets (all supplies Stampin' Up!):
Stamps: Elements of Style
Ink: Old Olive, Soft Suede, So Saffron
CS: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, So Saffron (the tiny flowers)
Accessories: On Board 5"x5" journal book, itty bitty shapes punch pack, 5/8" very vanilla satin ribbon

National Scrapbooking Month

Do you know April is National Scrapbooking Month?  Here's a great page to get you inspired and ready to put your pictures in the books!  I'll have lots more scrapbook pages coming next month!  In fact, if you'd like to join me at a three day retreat in PA March 30th - April 1st, CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY.  There are limited spots available and I'd love to scrap with you!

This is a trendy, scrappy page.  Look around your desk, I bet you have enough strips or scraps to complete this layout!
We're going to talk more about versamark in the upcoming weeks, but the Elements of Style flower is stamped with VersaMark and is perfectly subtle on Sahara Sand cardstock and (look closely) on the Pool Party cardstock.

Here's an order that would allow you to make this page and earn Sale-A-Bration products! I've omitted the cardstock, because I'm sure you have scraps!  The Attic Boutique Side Notes are the perfect little add-on doo-dads for this page.  At $5.95 it's a great value and you'll have left over pieces for other pages.  When you select ME as your demonstrator, you'll take advantage of the preferred pricing listed below.

The stamp set above is a clear mount set, please make certain you select wood if you prefer or add blocks if this is your first clear stamp purchase.

Have a great Friday!  I hope you have a creative weekend planned!
Thanks.

Amour Card

Let's talk about something we haven't talked about....window sheets.  This tower image is stamped in Staz-On on a window sheet and placed ontop of the background.  Use mini glue dots or brads to adhere the window sheet to the background.  The circle image is stamped tone-on-tone or color-on-color.  In this case Baja Breeze ink is stamped onto Baja Breeze cardstock.
I'd love to show you this card in person....I'm still looking for two hostesses!  Look at your calendar and let me know if you can schedule a party this month!

Listed below are the supplies for this card and you'll earn Sale-A-Bration product of your choice!  When you select ME as your Stampin' Up! demonstrator, you're able to take advantage of the PREFERRED pricing.

Have a great Thursday!

Looking for Hostesses!

I have a couple openings in March and I'd love for you to help me out and host a party!  Hosting during Sale-A-Bration is a great way to catch up with old friends, share over creativity and earn free product.  Don't fret about sending invites or cleaning the house.  I'll help you with that!  We can stamp at my house, the church basement, at the park picnic tables.
When was the last time you had a night out?  I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Have a great day!

Live. Laugh. Love.

I'm going to share something a little bit different today.  I've had this completed and hanging on my wall since last summer, but I've never shared it.  When we moved, I needed something for the powder room that wouldn't break the bank.  It all started with a thrift store find of an early 1910's dictionary with it's brown edges and broken spine.  We gently tore out pages, mod podged (I think that's a verb!) a blank canvas and placed the dictionary pages with little rhyme or reason.  And then we waited.  :)  Waiting was the most difficult part.  When the canvas was completed dry, we placed another coat of mod podge on top.  And then...you guessed it...waited.  (Click on the image for a larger view)
(You should have seen the looks from Mr. Sweetest Design.  He was not impressed with my gluing "old books" skills.  He didn't see my vision!).  When it was completely dry I started decorating it.  I used {retired} Friends 24-7 Damask image.  It suited my decor the best.  Those are big shot handmade chipboard lettters that pop off the canvas.  The lattice die is cut out of {retired} Barely Banana cardstock and basic black.  There's a scrap of burlap and an antique brad too.

I have some other "decor" type things I haven't shared if you're interested.  Do you just come here for cards and scrapbook pages??

Have a sweet day and thanks for stopping by.

p.s.  If you're going to try this, please make sure the layers are DRY before proceeding; this will minimize the warping and bubbling on your project.
