Shabby Chic

I love the ragged torn look of this swap I received waaaaaaay in 2013 at the Baltimore Regional convention I attended.  The stampin' distress tool creates this shabby look.  

The boxes are simply ink applied directly to the clear block and stamped onto the cardstock.  It's clear block stamping.

Look - no fuss!  How often so you see that here?  This was a swap from my friend Brooke at the Baltimore Regional convention way back in April.  :)  

She's used her markers directly on the stamp to achieve the variation in the stamp.  

Only certain markers are available individually - that's why it's so awesome that markers from the Color Refresh are being offered.

Oh, Hello my friends.  I am sorry I missed posting last week and I'm sorry the Friday announcement post didn't go up.  I have been a wee bit busy (can you relate?)!

We have seven weeks to get this little ditty completed.  Seven weeks!  And in that time is a holiday, a quick trip to Ohio, my grand trip to Salt Lake City and a visit from the in-laws.  No pressure.

Hi!  Good Tuesday Morning.  I hope you had a lovely weekend.  It's that time in the year/catalog/season where I look at my desk and shutter.  See....I have this illness.  I keep Every.  Little.  Scrap.  So I have a massive pile of scrap DSP.  Little pieces, big pieces -- all a giant pile.  One of my most favorite (do I say that frequently?) DSP is the cheerful Sunshine & Sprinkles from the Spring Catalog. Let's use up some scraps today!
