Bordering on Romance

Here's a softly colored card.  Not my color pallet, but when working with teammates and swaps you get to try new things. Bordering on Romance - revisited

Happy Thursday.  Here's a quick card using the Bordering on Romance stamp.  I stamped in StazOn and colored the image.  I used some scrap DSP for a scrappy look.  Dimensionals are everywhere on this card.  

The card base is Old Olive, but the DSP, ribbon and main image are Pear Pizzazz.  A neat combo, separated by crisp Basic Black.

Bordering on Romance - another look!

Remember this Pool Party Bordering on Romance card?
This card uses the same stamp, but looks completely different because I colored in the flowers this time and it's much more colorful than the previous card.  If I'm coloring; I stamp with Staz On.  It's a waterproof true black that doesn't run when you color!

My friend Danielle taught me a trick to securing the pleated ribbon around the edge of the card stock.  She clips the pleat so it wraps and lays flat around the edge of the cardstock.

Pool Party!

Holy cow!  Pool weather was here in D.C. the past couple of days.  Saturday I had the windows open, heat off.  We were in the 60's!  It was a wonderful day to be outside.
This little card uses Pool Party and Whisper White.  In the Occasions Mini, seam binding was released in the Pool Party color.  (I love seam binding!)  I really enjoy pairing pool party with island indigo.
