Did you like my use of the Designer Frame embossing folder during the Best of Flowers Blog Tour?  How about using it a similar way?

I again cut out the inside with my exact-o knife and popped it up on dimensionals.  The sentiment has a larger-than-usual border. All pieces are lightly sponged with Early Espresso ink.

It's Epic!

I hope you had a G-R-E-A-T weekend.  Spring is back and it's been cool and crisp in the evenings. I wanted to plant some flowers Saturday, but it was too cold for me to work and I was worried about the flowers dying.  Good thing too, it dipped to freezing last night.  So instead, look at these pretty flowers!

It's OK to stamp on DSP.  Here I've stamped a little stem in Lucky Limeade and popped up the embossed flower on a dimensional.  This was inspired by the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! catalog.  Look at this from page 83, can you see the similarities?  Lucky Limeade is one of the retiring colors - don't delay in stocking up on your favorites, some are already sold out.  The new foam ink pads are juicy and I was able to emboss with a Classic Ink pad and clear embossing powder.

Best of Flowers Blog Tour

Happy Spring Sunday!  My fellow bloggers have a great tour lined up using the Best of Flowers stamp set.  A couple weeks ago, my mom pinned this card and I wanted to CASE it.  I had so much fun making a duo of cards, I wanted to do it again.

Best of Flowers brings back some of our favorite flower images, including this image from Upsy Daisy that's been miniaturized.  I love it! Now it fits inside our Designer Frames embossing folder.  Here's a 1-minute video explaining the Designer Frames.

I also used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to create the perfect shadow.  Shown is Raspberry Ripple and Regal Rose.  Stamp once, slightly offset the image and stamp again in the other color.   

Here's another close up of the frame.  This color combo is Midnight Muse and Baja Breeze.  I pop-up the frame using Stampin' Up! dimensionals.  They're the best.

Not Quite Baja

Littttttle bit late with today's post!  But that means there's a real human behind your screen :)
At team meetings we talk "shop", but we get to see friends, make new friends, learn new techniques and swap.  It's hard to narrow down which is my most favorite part of meeting, but I love seeing the displays.

Today's card comes right from the display boards (poor lighting and all) but  it's important because this uses TWO retiring colors: Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy.  These colors were listed earlier this month as retiring and are available while supplies last.  Although not specifically listed yet, please know any ribbon, DSP or accessory that uses any retired color will too automatically go to the retired list.  Speaking of "The List," check back here April 24th for the list. As years past, accessories will be while supplies last.  SHOP HERE to stock up on retiring colors!

"Live in the sunshine" is a great motto!  And here's a spring-y card.

I was inspired to make this card from the scraps sitting at my desk!  It's what I call a scrappy card.
