Summer Smooches

Retiring...

Stamps.  With the end of the 2011-2012 Catalog May 31st - it's time to talk about the stamps that will be retired - never to be sold again.  Please don't miss out -- if any of these are on your wish list order them before it's too late.  May1st the retiring accessories list will be posted.

BEAU CHÂTEAU & Friday the 13th

I always post about not being spooked by Friday the 13th and today is no exception.  Actually, I'm just happy it's Friday.  Anyone else having a rough week?  Annoying inspectors?  Little less sleep than usual?  Watching The Reds lose in extra innings?

One (of many) awesome perks about retreat is the giant My Scraps-Your Scraps bin.  You know crafters don't throw anything away - but we share.  I got all the scraps needed for this card out of the scraps bin!

I think I need to use more Marina Mist in my life.  I think it's a great color.  In the stamped image panel - see the faint crown and flower-y circle?  I stamped off twice before I stamped the cardstock to achieve a lighter more subtle look. The dress form was cut out and then the flowers were stamped.  The flowers were also stamped, colored and cut out - lotsa layers.

That's said in my best southern drawl, ain't that sweet?  Here's a quick card using the Sweet Shop designer stickers and the sweet shop DSP.

White Embossed

In addition to white embossing, there's a small detail added that creates a BIG impact.  Can you notice it?  With a versamark pen, we quickly traced the edged of the white flowers.  I had so much fun creating this, I'll be sharing a scrapbook page.  Here's the inspiration.

Happy Saturday.  I'm still sending birthday cards to the twins.  You can see the first one here.

This one has a couple of details worth mentioning.... The ledger on the left is stamped in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla carstock.  Then the Crumb Cake ink pad is wiped across the page in various directions and patterns.  The boat is embossed on Very Vanilla cardstock.  The horizon and sea water is sponged on.  Bakers twine is a great masculine add.  Don't forget you can get a FREE gift of Bakers Twine from me this weekend.

Smooches Banner and Twine

On to the card...This is another summer smooches "scrappy" card.  The flower was colored with markers.  The bud colored twice, cut out and popped up on the original.  A bit of bakers twine and a sweet button finish this scrappy card.

Time to Smooch

Pucker up baby!  It's Summer Smooch time.  Today through April 30th, you can purchase products from the Summer Smooch product line.  This product WILL be in the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! catalog, but you can get it early.  Past April 30th, you'll have to wait until the new catalog comes out June 1st to order the products. I have two samples today showing off the paper and stamps.  At the bottom there is a flyer that lists all the products available for this limited time.  I will be back with more smooch projects this week!
