Summer Starfruit

It is NOT baby poop.  Summer Starfruit is a great color that was missing from the color families.  I've digitally compared the colors here.  So days it looks more green and some days it looks more yellow.  I tend to use it as a yellow, pairing it with blues and grays.

It's Club Time.  See page 152 of the NEW catalog.  This Color Club will run each month.  Join in as you want!  Deadline for ordering SUMMER STARFRUIT is July 10th.  Color club orders will receive:

  • Classic Ink Pad, Summer Starfruit
  • Classic Refill,  Summer Starfruit
  • 8-1/2"x11" cardstock,  Summer Starfruit
  • 3/8" stitched satin ribbon,  Summer Starfruit
  • 4 sheets of 6"x6" DSP (patterns may vary)
  • Four card kits
Card kits will include items such as any other cardstock, DSP, brads, pieces and parts required to complete the samples. Kits do not include a stamp set nor can I send you stamped images.  The samples will be printed and included in your kit.  There are not step-by-step instructions; rather pictures of the completed project and dimensions if you need to cut your own  Summer Starfruit ribbon, DSP and cardstock.  Projects will emphasize the color of the month.  No need to purchase the identical stamp - the samples will illustrate at least two versions of the same card.  Pricing includes $5.15 shipping directly to your house!

This is over a $45 value that I'm offering to YOU for $32 ($26.85 local pickup only)!  Club ships no later than July 25th!  You can add in-color markers or other items to your club order!

Purchase all 5 2012-2014 in-colors and you'll receive the in-color dahlias FREE as my gift to you during month #5.  I'll keep track for you - if you earn this gift!

Clean and Simple

I'm working on offering a little something for everyone.  Here's a clean and simple card (CAS).  It's also a less-than-ten.  From start to finish, this takes less than ten minutes.  This one didn't make the cut for the Gumball Green Color Club project (they can't all make the cut!).

Fussy-cutting is a new term I learned!  It's when you cut out intricate designs.  Here I fussy-cut the red banner and the bird.  And again, I'm showing you Summer Starfruit!  Color Club for this great color starts soon.  Here's the other Summer Starfruit card!

What do you think?  This was a simple card.  It's just not good enough for Color Club ;)

An Oldie

Here's an oldie that I didn't get to share with you before items retired (sorry!).  But it's lovely and I still wanted to share it with you.  Actually, I am selling this set, Pocket Silhouettes, and other retiring items.  Please let me know if you're interested in purchasing this set.  I will post the sets here FIRST for you, my lovely readers on Sundays.  Look for kits and samplers of paper, ribbon and embellishments - I'm slowly working through Craft Central - it's just a slow process.  This set is assembled, gently used, wood mounted, set of 6.  The four images and two words are shown below.  This set comes with card kits so you can immediately ink up this set.  I'll have everything cut, designed and ready for you to make EIGHT cards (several of each design).  Inks excluded.  Cost for this set and card kit is $16.00 plus shipping to you.  This is a wonderful set and it needs a great home.  Please contact me if you're interested.  I will keep this open for you for one week.  Come back subsequent Sundays for more sets for sale!

Simple Summer Smooches

This is a cute card that I received as a swap that I HAD to recreate.  Swapping with friends and teammates is so much fun!  I had fun creating in April with Summer Smooches and now we can create all year long with these fun colors and the summer smooch product line!  A little snippet of DSP makes this card!

I was invited to southern Virginia this weekend to stamp and snack and discuss social media!  Stamping has introduced me to some amazing friends.  I can't wait to see these ladies!  I've been working on my shoebox swap, and after the week and heat I've had...I'm looking forward to a couple days away!  I'll be sure to share our projects with you next week.

Sweet Deets (all supplies Stampin' Up!):
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Perfectly Penned
Ink: Island Indigo
CS: Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, blossom punch

More Papaya!

This was another "almost" card for the Gumball Green Color Club.  I fussy-cut the border and the bird again.  I really think Gumball Green + Midnight Muse scream summer nights!  See that subtle green inside the Thank You panel?  I simply stamped off twice - which leaves plenty of ink on the stamp at a less intense color.  Just stamp off on scratch paper!

Sweet Deets (all supplies Stampin' Up!):
Stamps: Papaya Collage, Four Frames
Ink: Gumball Green, Midnight Muse
CS: Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Whisper White
Accessories:  Designer Label Punch

Raining Flowers

This card MADE ME buy this stamp set.  Friends are awesome that way!  Two weeks ago, I participated in a team swap and Jen had us create this card.  Wow; It was awesome.  I came home and put it on my must-have stamp list.  What do you think?

To get the oh-so-matchy matchy Midnight Muse, I stamped off two times for the inside flowers and left the outline in the original saturated midnight muse.

Stamps: Raining Flowers, Perfectly Penned
Ink: Midnight Muse, Primarose Petals, Raspberry Ripple
CS: Midnight Muse, Primarose Petals, Very Vanilla

Q & A about the Color Club

Hi crafty friends.  I am getting caught up on emails and facebook messages from you all!  Sorry for the short break, but I was running out of hours in the day.  And it was far too hot yesterday to do anything - so nothing was finished!  I've had some questions about the new colors and the Color Club...I've tried to respond to most of your questions, but decided to post them here too.

Because I've been absent and you've left questions, I HAVE EXTENDED THE DEADLINE FOR COLOR CLUB thru Wednesday - June 13th.

Q:  Do I have to purchase all the colors?
A:  Nope.  Not at all.  You can earn an incentive by purchasing all five - but it's up to you.

Q: Will this be offered for the 2011-2013 colors?
A:  You bet!  Look for this Club to start at the conclusion of the 2012-2014 color club.

Q:  What does the color look like?
A:  Gumball Green is bold, rich and bright.  Digitally I've compared the colors for you here.  Click to enlarge this image.

Q:  What does the "kit" look like?
A:  The pieces for each card (cardstock, ribbon, accessories) will be packaged in a clear envelope so you can easily identify which pieces go to which card.  Everything is pre-cut, embossed or punched for you.  The instructions will identify the items of GumBall Green you must supply to complete the project.  It's similar to an in-person class where the card is designed and the pieces are prepped for your use.

Q: I'm on your team, can I get the project sheet?
A:  Yes!  The pdf handout will be shared with my team.  Thinking of joining?  The $99 kit allows you to fully customize your order.

Q:  I'm a fellow demonstrator, can I get the project sheet?
A:  Sorry, the project sheet is not available at this time.

Q:  Will the projects be featured on this blog?
A: Yes.  No.  Maybe.  Some samples will be posted - but not every project.

Q:  What's the next color?
A:  July's color is Summer Starfruit.  I've heard from many of you your displeasure for this color.  Actually I like this color.  I'll be sharing it before Club closes - so you can make up your mind.

Q:  I don't have paypal, how can I make payment?
A:  When I send a paypal invoice - you don't need to have paypal.  You can securely use any major credit card.

Q:  I haven't received my invoice yet - does that mean you haven't received my order?
A:  I am behind on invoicing - but it never hurts to email me to check.  All invoices will be sent before Club closes.
