Retiring Accessories!

Happy Wednesday!  A note about the retiring accessories - these are WHILE SUPPLIES last.  

Retiring stamps will continue to be manufactured and orders fulfilled thru 5/31.  I am placing an order this week and I can add anything you need - no order is too small.  I don't want you to miss out on any of the retiring goodies! Please note some things listed are up to 60% off - these will not last long!  Stampin' Up! refreshes the list each afternoon as items sell out.

Don't forget about the 2010-2012 in-colors.  And --hey scrapbookers -- now is the time to stock up on 12"x12" cardstock!  

Get them before they are gone! The retired accessories and Definitely Decorative (including Décor Elements) lists are now available and won't stay around for long--these items are only available while supplies last!

When you look at the retired accessories list, you'll note that all of our Stampin' Pads are listed. This is for two reasons: (1) Craft Stampin' Pads will now only be available in black and white; and (2) we are introducing a new Firm Foam pad in our Classic Stampin' Pads with the 2012-2013 annual catalog.  The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images.

In addition, please note the following about the new catalog:

• Only select Stampin' Write Markers will be available individually (Stampin' Write Markers in color collections will continue to be offered)
• 12" x 12" Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered
• 12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors and color collections

A Smooches Scrapbook

Good Monday morning!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

  Here's a scrappy layout.  I started with the First Edition DSP and lightly brayered ink all over it.  Then I punched out a Blossom Punch flower and used the negative portion as a mask (or stencil) and sponged flowers up the side in Rich Razzleberry.  The banners are free-hand cut  using up scraps.  The funky heart adds a pop of black.  

The next page is also using scraps.  The right margin is the left-over first edition DSP, this time brayered with Rich Razzleberry ink and with the Tasteful Trim Big Shot die.  I liked adding the pop of black to these bright colors.  The heart is the negative image (ok---left overs, scraps, trash - whatever you want to call it) from the first page.

Farewell Grunge Rock

Happy Saturday! We're off to celebrate Earth Day this morning by picking up trash all morning.  (Don't be a litter bug!).  Just a quick post this morning of a quick masculine birthday card.  I sent these earlier this month to the twins for their birthday.

The Well Worn DSP is the wonderful background.  The guitar was stamped, cut out and popped up on dimensionals.  Wonderfully Worn is stamped over the greeting in Crumb Cake for that cracked look.

Coordinating colors include Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, River Rock, So Saffron, and Soft Suede.


The Grunge Rock Stamp Set is on the RETIRING list.  Here's an EXCEL list of the sets.  On April 25th the accessories retiring list will be posted - expect coordinating wheels to sets retiring, 2010-2012 In-Colors (Blushing Bride, Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzaz, Poppy Parade), almost all the DSP, every decor elements and simply adorned products to be on the list.

Hot Air Birthday Balloons

Just a quick card today....The balloons are easy to cut out.  The grass was free hand cut.  Those clouds were made by creating a mask from a scallop circle and lightly sponging.  The balloon strings were drawn in by hand.

Attic Boutique Scrap

It's not that I haven't been scrappin' recently....  To be honest, I don't know the tricks to photographing the finished pages for you.   I tried something new.

Here's a two page layout using the Attic Boutique products from the Occasions Mini catalog (ends April 30th!).  The first page was a copycat of this project from the Stampin' Up! webpage.

Retiring...

BEAU CHÂTEAU & Friday the 13th

I always post about not being spooked by Friday the 13th and today is no exception.  Actually, I'm just happy it's Friday.  Anyone else having a rough week?  Annoying inspectors?  Little less sleep than usual?  Watching The Reds lose in extra innings?

One (of many) awesome perks about retreat is the giant My Scraps-Your Scraps bin.  You know crafters don't throw anything away - but we share.  I got all the scraps needed for this card out of the scraps bin!

I think I need to use more Marina Mist in my life.  I think it's a great color.  In the stamped image panel - see the faint crown and flower-y circle?  I stamped off twice before I stamped the cardstock to achieve a lighter more subtle look. The dress form was cut out and then the flowers were stamped.  The flowers were also stamped, colored and cut out - lotsa layers.
